Sleepy Sunday

I don’t have much to post today. I spent most of it bouncing back and forth between reading others’ blogs, cleaning house, editing for my publisher and stitching on Our Special Day. I’ve almost caught up with what I had to rip out. 🙂

I also got a good start on my Beatrix Potter Quaker SAL project. I’m using white linen, either 32 or 36 count, and 820 DMC floss. It doesn’t show in the photo, but it’s a deep almost purplish blue color. I really like it.

I think I’m going to spend the rest of the night relaxing and working on this.

Oh, but before I go. While cleaning out the bill box, I ran across some old photos. Here are two of Solly’s baby pictures. In one, she’s chasing a top, and in the other, she’s playing with Daddy.

I wish we had pictures of her before her feathers came in, when she was all beak, gray fluff and bald skin.

    The macaw is beautiful.
    Nice start on BPQ
I love the book mark and don’t feel bad I can’t stick with a rotation either.

I can’t stop giggling! He’s too darn cute! 1st time visiting your blog. I am new to the world of stitching and have been browsing various blogs to try and gain some knowledge and get some tips / ideas. I originally started with a stamped, then counted “kits”. I’m working on my 2nd chart and have noticed some big differences in floss types and quality.
My Cross Stitch Mentor has told me that I’m ready to graduate from Aida, but I really like Aida. Maybe it’s just beginner’s comfort???
If you would answer my question… What type of fabric or fabrics do you prefer and why? Brands and counts?
I would appreciate any advice, thanks!
